AI for Product Videos?

I met Stephanie Wheat at mHUB last week; a dynamic location worthy of its own article.  With rockstar sunglasses resting on top of her head and a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit, she explained to me what mHUB was all about and how it is the perfect location for the headquarters of her custom accessories brand, REBELLION.

Stephanie’s energy was contagious and inspired me to use our current AI content creation workflow development to create a short video ad for REBELLION.

THE CHALLENGE

We had not tested anything up to this point that featured a physical product, so this was going to be a valuable test.  Hopefully, the findings could be applied to other physical products in the future.

We chose to feature a purse, one of Stephanie’s flagship products.  The purse was designer, so it was extremely unique in just about every way.  The shape of the purse, the design of the strap, the color, the patterns, were all very specific and extraordinary.

THE FAIL

After extensive drafting cycles through multiple stages of prompts, we could not get the purse to accurately depict the product.

THE Final Result

We were able to identify a method of integrating the product image with the best-performing prompt and it worked perfectly.  Almost.  Mostly.  Not entirely.  But good enough.

Here was the result:

THE TAKEAWAY

Our AI workflow is capable of some very, very impressive results.  At the same time, this current workflow and all of the tools involved in the process still have a ways to go.  Overall, it seems we are well on our way to a lot of creative possibilities.
